    Low impact

    Pilates offers a great, low impact, all over body workout. It is particularly effective for building a strong core. Your core includes the abdominal and back muscles. As a result, Pilates is excellent for improving posture, building long lean muscles and helping with muscular imbalances in the body. 

    Pregnancy

    Mums-to-be are welcome.  Just contact me in advance to let me know that you are expecting, so I can advise on the required adaptations to help you safely maintain fitness and strength all the way through pregnancy.  

    Pilates for pain and injury

    On the recommendation of your Physiotherapist, Pilates can offer a complimentary or follow-on regime to help you stay fit and pain free following treatment.  Make sure to pass on any relevant information you have been given so your instructor can recommend adaptations while you continue on your path to peak fitness.

    Stress relief

    There are many other benefits including improved concentration and sleep, better balance and flexibility. As with all exercise it can also be great for stress relief.

    I am Polestar Pilates reformer, STOTT PILATES ® Matwork and YMCA (ETM) trained and qualified.  I am also trained to teach Total Barre, TRX and TRX for Yoga, 

    I am now a Trigger Point Pilates certified instructor and most exciting of all, during lock-down, I became the UK's first Pilates Suspension Method (PSM) certified instructor and have added the PSM advanced certification.  Contact me if you are interested in this novel and exciting branch of Pilates. 

    I have a small studio which is dedicated to the pursuit of Pilates in its various forms - and which has allowed me to expand the number of Reformer class I am teaching.

    I offer a range of classes in and around the area - including mixed beginners and intermediate group classes for Pilates Matwork, Reformer Pilates, PSM classes plus one-to-one sessions (available by appointment).
